Ave maria was established in 1984 by the initiative of Mr. Quilinous Otim, who was supported by the then Bishop of Lira Diocese the late Rt Rev. Caesar Asili. The institution is affiliated to the Catholic Diocese of Lira and the Bishop is the Patron. The institution is governed by seven Members of the Board of Trustees, Administration Staff and Teaching Staff. The School is situated at Gwengabara, Boke Parish, Adekokwok Sub - County Lira District . 3km away from Lira Town on Lira Soroti Road. The Institution is registered by the Directorate of Industral Training, Ministry of Education and Sports and UNEB and National NGO Board.
