COWA Vocational Training Centre was started in 1994 by Companionship Of Works Association (COWA) a National non-government organisation operating country wide with a mission to promote human values through education and training initiatives for the disadvantaged and marginalised youth. 

COWA VTC is located on plot 567 in Kamuli-Kiwumulo road zone A. It has expanded over years to become a highly recognized vocational training centre working with the disadvantaged youth and offering both certificate courses. The training centre is fully  registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports with registration number......................... . With a centre number UT 147 from the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) the centre has several disciplines offered which entail: UJTC and Craft one certificate in carpentry and joinery, UJTC and craft, one certificate in bricklaying and concrete practice, grade one and two certificate in metal fabrication and welding and other shor courses.

Since its inception the centre has so far trained 650 youths of which 500 have sucessfully joined the world of work, 50 have had further training and 50 have started their own macro enterprises and have jobs they out of their profession.
