Historical Background

The Institute was founded by the Catholic Church of Mbarara Archdiocese in the late 1950s as a Rural Technical school. It grew to a technical school and later to a Technical Institute. Its a both day and boarding government grant aided Institution found in Nyamitanga Division in Mbarara Municipality.
